Good to know

New Hampshire has no state earned income tax credit. It has no mandatory paid family and medical leave program; a voluntary state plan is offered through employers. The state uses the federal HealthCare.gov marketplace. Summer EBT is running in 2026 ($120 per eligible child, automatic unless a family opts out). Fuel assistance and weatherization are run by the NH Department of Energy through local Community Action agencies. State general assistance is run by local towns and cities.
