What you agree to
By submitting this application, I confirm that I have read and agree to the following terms and conditions regarding my participation in the Seattle Promise program:
Data Sharing and Program Benefits: I grant permission to Seattle Promise staff to share the student data listed below with my high school and external program partners (including the Seattle Department of Transportation and transfer colleges). I understand this data sharing is strictly for the purpose of providing me with direct benefits (such as ORCA cards, scholarships, internships, and transfer assistance to 4-year schools) and guiding me through college steps (such as enrollment, financial aid, and transfer). Shared Data Includes: name, month and year of birth, preferred email, high school, college/enrollment status, Seattle Promise status, academic program, credits earned, application information, and credential earned (and date).
Additional Funds Agreement (if applicable) : I understand that any additional funds I may receive beyond tuition support from Seattle Promise are based on eligibility determined by the Financial Aid office and the City of Seattle. I agree to the following criteria for these funds: Funds are provided ONLY to assist with approved school-related expenses. I may be required to repay funds if I withdraw from classes prior to the published census dates. I may be required to repay funds if they are used for purposes other than approved school-related expenses.
* I understand that I will not receive certain benefits contingent upon partner access, specifically the ORCA card, the Seattle Promise Equity Scholarship, internships, and 4-year transfer institution scholarships provided through Seattle Promise partnerships.
I understand that I also need to complete the Seattle Colleges admissions application by February 12 to be eligible for Seattle Promise
After you apply
- Complete a separate Seattle Colleges admission application for fall 2027. It opens October 12, 2026. Use your legal name from your government-issued ID. If you have an SSN or ITIN, include it on that separate application.
- Submit FAFSA or WASFA to your Seattle College, then complete your financial aid file.
- Attend Readiness Academy and Campus Connect, then start college full time with at least 12 credits.
- Keep attending classes, remain in good academic standing and meet your advisor each quarter to stay eligible.
- Ask your high school Outreach Specialist or promise@seattlecolleges.edu for help.
- Promise and college admission applications are due February 12, 2027. FAFSA or WASFA is due April 30, 2027. The complete financial aid file is due July 30, 2027.
- Readiness Academy runs in May and June 2027. Campus Connect runs in August and September. Full-time classes start in late September 2027.
- Additional funds beyond tuition depend on the college Financial Aid office and the City of Seattle. The public form says funds may need to be repaid after an early withdrawal or use for unapproved expenses.
- If your high school is not listed or your situation is unusual, complete the form and contact Promise staff for an eligibility review.
- Seattle Promise sends reminders to the personal email address you provide.
Before you send it
- Use your own personal email, not your Seattle Public Schools or parent email. Use the same email and name on Promise, admission and financial aid applications.
- Have your high school ID ready. Do not use autofill.
- Background answers connect you with support and do not affect Promise eligibility.
- Two parent or guardian contacts fit on the form. For more contacts, ask promise@seattlecolleges.edu. Each listed contact may receive your program progress.
- Declining partner data sharing affects ORCA cards, the equity scholarship, internships and partner transfer scholarships; the public notice does not say that declining removes the tuition benefit.
- The admissions acknowledgement is a required resident action, not an ordinary reusable fact. No signature, date signed, office-use or hidden system field is an intake question.
What we could not check
